Watch Three, Quirky Australian Beauties’ Recreate Their ‘Mime Through Time’ On Ellen!
On April Fool’s day 2015, SketchShe, a quirky and gorgeous Australian comedy trio, made up of Shae-Lee Shackleford, Lana Kington and Madison Lloyd, had the Internet buzzing with their “Mime Through Time” viral video. Their adorable parody involved being dressed up as famous singers, lip-synching and dancing in their car to a medley of songs from many different eras.
“Mime Through Time” has 240 million views, thus making it reportedly one of “the biggest solo view count on a music video in Facebook history!” The parody included: “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” by The Andrews Sisters, Elvis Presley’s “Hound Dog,” and “Help!” by The Beatles. Then it went onto “We Will Rock You,” by Queen, “Beat it” by Michael Jackson, and “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” by Whitney Houston. Then they revisited the grunge era with Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” as well as hip-hop with “The Next Episode” by Dr. Dre featuring Snoop Dogg.
Oh, but that wasn’t all! They of course, couldn’t forget Britney Spears with “Baby One More Time!” as they donned the former Disney stars’ infamous pigtails! Then they dressed up as rapper Eminem for “The Real Slim Shady,” and went into glam-mode with “Single Ladies” by Beyoncé. Then came the body paint for “Somebody That I Used To Know” by Gotye featuring Kimbra! Watch how their last sketch of Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball,” got interrupted by the “police!” After their parodies went viral, they went on a world tour, grew a massive fan base, and were invited on to the “Ellen DeGeneres Show!”
