Watch Miley Cyrus Take Bob Dylan’s “Baby, I’m In The Mood For You” To New Heights With Her Soulful Cover
Singer Miley Cyrus has come a long way from her “Hannah Montana” and wacky Video Music Awards debacle and it seems like she’s getting really back into the music. The pop singer is also dabbling more and more into country music, but the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree! Her dad is Billy Ray Cyrus and her Godmother is the legendary Dolly Parton for heaven’s sake!
When Miley covered Parton‘s colossal hit, “Jolene,” it was so well-received that it’s considered one of the best covers of the song ever recorded! Not too shabby Miley! When she appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” she decided to veer off from her normal set list and performed “Baby, I’m in the Mood for You” by Bob Dylan and covered by American folk singer Odetta back in 1965. Miley used Odetta’s version as inspiration for her performance.
Watch Miley perform with Fallon’s band The Roots. You can tell that she’s having a blast showing the audience her more soulful side. Needless to say, her fans adored it! “Why Doesn’t Miley sing more of this kind of music. Awesome performance! ” commented a fan.
