Watch Irish Step Dancers Perform To Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’ Paying Homage To His Irish Roots!
If you’ve had a suspicion that British singer Ed Sheeran has Irish roots, given his red hair, freckles and fun-loving attitude, well you’re right! His grandparents actually came from Ireland! To pay homage to his Irish roots, a group of Irish step dancers came up with an awesome dance routine to Sheeran’s hit song, “Shape of You.”
The eight beautiful Irish step dancers, who are huge Sheeran fans, hail from the Claddagh area of Galway City in Ireland, which is fitting because the singer also has a song titled, “Galway Girl.” The talented step dancers picked a beautiful sunny day and the perfect backdrop, which was in the center of Galway, right beside its beautiful coastline.
They donned beautiful black and white outfits, long flowing locks, and they of course rocked their step dancing shoes! All smiles, the step dancers dazzle with their taps, jumps and twirls as well as their impressive form and discipline. Like most girls their age, they seem to love social media, so they created the hashtag “#Step4Sheeran” when they uploaded their dance routine. They hope that the hashtag will encourage other dancers to share their own routines to Sheeran’s famous songs for the whole world to see!
