Music by Lucille Barilla on July 13, 2017

Legendary guitarist David Gilmour will air his historic 2016 concert from the Pomeii Ampitheater for one night only on September 13, 2017 in over 2,000 movie theaters around the world. It is the first time he has returned to the historic theater since his performance with Pink Floyd in 1972.

Filmmaker Gavin Elder captured the rock guitarist during 2016 tour for his album “Rattle That Lock.” The performance dates ran from April through September of that year. The stunning setting and Gilmour’s ethereal music is a heightened experience for fans of his music, as evidenced in the film’s new trailer.

Gilmour played classic Pink Floyd songs live as well as tracks from his solo albums “Rattle that Lock” and “On An Island.” He said of his return to Pompeii, “”It’s a magical place,” he said. “It was quite overwhelming really. It’s a place of ghosts … in a friendly way.”
