These Teens May Look Fresh-Faced, But Their Incredible Swing Dance Is Lighting Up The Internet

by Chanel Adams Published Jan 11, 2018

Most teenagers these days have no idea what swing dancing is. They rather have their heads buried in their phones or tablets. Ryan Boz and Alexis Garrish dedicated most of their lives to practicing swing dance. The then-15-year-old pair competed at the 2016 U.S. Open Swing Dance Championships in Burbank, California.

They chose “Shut Up And Dance” by Walk The Moon for their epic dance routine that’s lighting up the internet. These two teens made swing dance look cool again. The pair danced for about a year before competing for the trophy in the young adult division of this dance competition.

Thanks to their roaring swing routine, they took home the trophy and won the highest West Coast Swing Honor. Ryan and Alexis enjoy swing dancing and you can see it on their faces. They’ve been doing it since they were kids. They perform solo as well as their duo performances.
