The Sopranos Is Called The Greatest TV Show Of All Time — Do You Agree?

The Sopranos is still being declared as the greatest television show of all time. Long before we were obsessed with critically acclaimed shows like The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, and Breaking Bad, we were in love with an American-Italian mobster that was a complex character. Tony and his family gave us quality television and a lasting legacy.

You can’t deny and say that other television shows have tried to follow a similar blueprint. The Sopranos ran from 1999 to 2007 and concluded with a divisive ending that had viewers scratching their heads. Many claim The Sopranos was responsible for helping HBO become a producer for television dramas.

It’s been voted No. 1 in Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest TV Shows of All Time. The reason why it shot to first place was that it “changed the world.” Show creator David Chase brought a new level of ambition to his storytelling. Rolling Stone also praised the show’s “broken characters” as well as the “wild mix of bloodshed and humor.”
