Stevie Nicks Dedicates ‘Landslide’ To ‘Rock n Roll Love Child She Never Had’ – And He Surprises Her On Stage!
Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac is a legend. With her sultry, raspy vocal chops and rock-gypsy-like flair, she has been captivating audiences for decades. Back in 2014, Nicks was on tour with Fleetwood Mac when she took the stage with Lindsey Buckingham to sing their iconic tune, “Landslide.”
Before singing the song, Stevie dedicated the song to someone near and dear to her – surprisingly it was singer Kid Rock! It turns out he was actually at the show, and in the middle of the performance, he snuck up behind her and gave her a huge hug and kiss on the cheek. The two have been good friends since 2001 and spent time together at the Montreaux Jazz Festival in 2006 along with Robert Plant, Stevie Winwood, Nile Rodgers, Chaka Khan and more.
“It was adult summer camp in Switzerland,” Stevie told the Oakland Press. “We relate on many levels. Behind (Rock’s) crazy flamboyance lies the most amazing person. We have always joked that if I had had a child it would have been him.” Kid Rock added: “Stevie has always declared me ‘the rock n roll love child’ she never had.”
