Michael Bublé’s biggest fans are gorillas and this video shows exactly why. For years, the gorillas of Australia’s Werribee Open Range Zoo listen to Michael Bublé’s Christmas album to get them to relax and even sleep, and now Bublé’s himself decided to give the gorillas a private concert the will surely remember for a long time.
“When we play Michael Bublé’s CDs, the boys will instantly start pleasure grumbling, and sit nice and calm and relaxed,” Ben Gulli, a gorilla keeper at Werribee, explains in the video about the singer’s influence over the gorillas. “The beautiful low tones that he sings with kind of mimics their pleasure grumble,” the keeper adds.
In this video, Bublé himself visited his biggest fans and sang them “I’ll Be Home For Christmas,” with slightly different lyrics to make the song fit for the primates and for singing a Christmas song during the Australian summer! “The reaction was amazing,” Bublé proudly says in the video.
