Little 7-Year-Old Kentucky Darling Wins Over Judges With Twangy ‘Blue’ Cover & Missing Tooth!
‘Well I’ll be!’ When adorable sisters, Layla and Dyxie from “the heart of Kentucky,” showed up to an “American Idol” audition their lovable southern charm made the judges fall in love with them! Oozing cuteness, little 7-year-old Layla (while too young to audition) was beside her sister, lending her support with her precious smile, which included a missing tooth!
Layla, 16, who was the one really auditioning selflessly wanted little Dyxie to sing first. So the little Kentucky darling belted out an adorable yodel and sang the first verse to “Blue,” made popular by singer LeeAnn Rimes. The judges, who absolutely adored her, all jokingly said “YES!” They even gave her a Golden ticket to Hollywood- for 2026 of course!
Now, we can’t forget about Layla! She belted out a Jackson 5 classic and completely nailed it! Showing off her vocal range, the judges were also very impressed with Layla, but were also cautious of her young age. However, they gave her a chance and a Golden ticket to Hollywood! Watch this adorable sister duo and you’ll just adore their genuine southern charm!
