Abandoned By His Parents As A Young Child, He Chose To Tell His Story Through Music.

Jaycob Curlee was abandoned for most of his life. When he was 5-year-old, his parents were either in and out of his life because of drug addiction or jail time. He relied on music as his form of therapy. Now, Jaycob wants to share his talents with the rest of the world.

He took his passion to America’s Got Talent where he performed a rendition of John Mayer’s hit song “Waiting On The World To Change.” Jaycob kind of looks like John Mayer at a glance. He also sounds like him when he starts crooning and serenading the audience with his incredible voice.

His adopted mother watched him backstage with pride in her eyes. The judges even looked at Jaycob with the kind of warmth and love that his new parents did the day he met them. Howie Mandell gave him the good news that AGT would be “adopting” Jaycob to the competition.
