2018 Winter Olympics Kicked Off With Unifying Message Featuring John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’

With the 2018 Winter Olympics theme, “Peace in Motion,” the highly-anticipated Opening Ceremony kicked off with John Lennon’s timeless and legendary classic, “Imagine.” The message coincided with the Parade of Nations, which featured the unification of North and South Korea.

Four notable Korean artists who collaborated on the impactful 1971 song, included: Ha Hyun-woo of the indie rock band Guckkasten, Ahn Ji-young of K-pop duo Bolbbalgan4, Deulgukhwa singer Jeon In-Kwon and solo artist Lee Eun-mi.
