A street performer nailed an impersonation of iconic singer, songwriter and guitarist Jimi Hendrix, leaving many passerby’s to turn their heads and wonder if that was truly the late rock and roller at the microphone! At the NAMM convention, fans were treated to a bit of “All Along the Watchtower.”

The NAMM Show is an annual event held in Anaheim, California, which is a trade show for the music products industry. What better way to honor the guitarist and the musician that was legendary in the music industry than to sing his songs on the sidewalk outside the convention center?

This performer not only sounded like Hendrix, he looked like him as well! Sporting Hendrix-style attire, the singer was pitch-perfect. “All Along the Watchtower” was originally written by Bob Dylan. Hendrix’ blistering version hit was a top 20 single in 1968, recorded for “Electric Ladyland” with the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
