“American Idol” alum Scotty McCreery is a huge fan of Elvis Presley. He has covered many Elvis tunes in his musical career, but none as much as the first tune Presley ever recorded on vinyl, “That’s All Right Mama.” McCreery honored the tune during an appearance on radio station WSM.

McCreery sang the tune “That’s All Right Mama,” which has become his signature go-to song. The country superstar has covered the tune many times in his career, including during his competition rounds on “American Idol.” The version he performed on Coffee, Country and Cody showcased a different side of McCreery.

The song’s slow beginning, leading to a vocal build-up until the very end, is performed expertly by McCreery, who has become a country star in his own right since his 2011 debut, with hit tunes such as “I Love You This Big,” “The Trouble With Girls” and “See You Tonight.”
