
Lady GaGa has been named the most played artist in the UK for 2010.
The list compiled by royalties body PPL revealed that the ‘Born This Way’ singer had taken the number one and number three positions on the most played songs list of last year.
‘Bad Romance’ topped the chart, being named the song most played on radio and in public spaces. The 26 year old’s second entry ‘Alejandro’, was placed in at three.
Alicia Keys came in second position with her ‘Empire State of Mind (Part II)’ whilst Plan B was named the most played British act with his single ‘She Said.
PPL chairman Fran Nevrkla explained, “The pop songs are truly modern classics, instantly recognisable and a great representation of the British public’s appetite in the past year.”
