There were many highlights at Danny Boyle’s Opening Ceremony for the Olympics; from the Queen parachuting out of a helicopter with James Bond to Mr. Bean messing up ‘Chariots of Fire’.
Here at Superstar though, we loved Emeli Sande’s moving rendition of ‘Stay With Me’.
The 25-year-old made a surprise appearance at the ceremony following a video tribute to the deceased loved ones of spectators.
The Scottish songstress stunned with her haunting and emotional vocals during the reflective period of the ceremony.
Emeli tweeted her excitement as she told followers, “I will never ever forget tonight, thank you so much to Danny Boyle and all his team for this incredible experience”.
And the world is unlikely to ever forget Emeli Sande after that performance!
