That’s right. After years of line-up changes, controversies and alleged catfights, the founding members of the Sugababes are now back together.
Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy began recording in 1998 and were responsible for hits such as ‘Overload’ and ‘One Touch’. Since then, the group has gone through numerous line-up changes with Siobhan being the first to leave in 2001 and Mutya leaving four years later. Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah took their places. Keisha was then sacked from the band in 2009 and replaced with Jade Ewen, although there seems to be no hard feelings now!
“To be honest with you I was very hurt and disappointed and I did feel betrayed by the whole thing,” Keisha told Popjustice. “But I feel like when you don’t forgive people and when you’re very bitter it’s not really doing anything for you. But I’m in a great place, and that’s all I care about”.
The girls have decided to call themselves ‘Mutya Keisha Siobhan‘ as the Sugababes name still belongs to the current-line up. While it’s not the most creative name, we still love it!
Expect to hear new music from Mutya Keisha Siobhan soon! In the meantime, remind yourselves of their hit ‘One Touch’ below:
