Nelly Furtado has had a special place in our hearts since ‘I’m like a Bird’ and even though her music has moved on since then, her newest single is as catchy as ever.
The video for her new song ‘Spirit Indestructible’ begins with Nelly performing in front of a red curtain, wearing dramatic black eyeliner and a black and white striped jacket. She is then transported to different locations – to a snowy mountaintop and in front of a beach bonfire.
The star looks simply stunning in a long gold dress and matching headpiece as she becomes one with nature.
“It’s got an elemental theme,” the singer said of her video. “I love nature. My first video ever was in nature, ‘I’m Like a Bird.’ So I do see this new album as sort of a coming home into the original reason why I make music in the first place, which is to have fun and rejoice.”
