Glen Campbell left fans with a treasure trove of musical memories, from his work as a country singer to several tunes that topped the popular music charts. But did you know he was also a secret rock guitarist? A musical gem of a performance showcased Campbell’s hidden guitar god talent.

An unearthed treasure of a video clip where Campbell is seen playing a hot guitar solo as if he were Jimi Hendrix has fans shaking their heads in disbelief. The 1975 performance of “(Back Home Again In) Indiana” showcases Campbell’s musicianship, with an amazing, blistering and highly complex guitar piece.

Campbell went public with his Alzheimer’s diagnosis in 2011, hoping to raise awareness about the disease. Campbell had not performed in public since November 2012. He spent his final years residing in an Alzheimer’s assisted living facility, visited daily by his wife and children. Campbell died on Aug. 8, 2017.
