Mark Wahlberg has claimed that he was almost cast in the recent reboot of the Star Trek franchise.
Speaking to Total Film, Wahlberg praised the film’s director J.J. Abrams, and went on to claim; ‘I remember him asking me to play Captain Kirk’s father in Star Trek and I tried to read the script and I didn’t understand the words of the dialogue.’
I said ‘I can’t do this’, I think you’re really talented but I couldn’t do it, then I saw the movie and I was like ‘Holy s**t” he did a great job’
Wahlberg’s new film ‘Broken City’ opens in the UK on March 3rd.
