Quvenzhané Wallis has been selected as the new lead to star in the upcoming reboot of the iconic film ‘Annie’.
Last week it emerged that thirteen-year old pop star Willow Smith had ‘aged out’ of the role during the film’s lengthy pre-production process, and now, the project (which is being driven by rap star Jay-Z and Willow’s father Will Smith) can proceed with it’s new star for it’s intended 2014 release date.
The film is set to take the form of a modern-day update on the original film, which tells the tale of a young orphan in New York City.
