The sequel for the much-loved Muppets reboot that landed in cinemas last year has already been pencilled in for 2014 release, and now, thanks to the release of the official synopsis, we have a few more details about the film’s plot.
According to the summary, the film will see Kermit and co. embarking on a global tour, travelling to Europe and beyond to perform sell-out shows in theatres the world over.
But along the way, the gang run into Constantine, a master criminal who’s also a dead ringer for Kermit, and they’re soon involved in an international crime investigation.
Tina Fey is set to appear in the film as Nadya, a female prison officer, as well as Modern Family star Ty Burrell, who appears as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon.
Ricky Gervais is also confirmed to star as Number 2, Constantine’s evil sidekick.
