Magic Mike star Matthew McConaughey has said that he will always try to put family before work.
The father-of-three was speaking at the Sundance film festival in response to being asked whether he’d like to try his hand at directing in the future.
However McConaughey claimed that taking on such a responsibility would keep him away from his children and wife Camila Aves, who gave birth to the couple’s third child Livingston last month.
Speaking to E! Online he explained; “When you’ve got family, you have to pick your extracurriculars, Whoever has kid knows that, man.”
“You have to pick and choose and go wait, which is the one I really want to do because I ain’t watching all the Saturday’s football and I’m not watching all of Sunday’s. I’m not going to be a kayaker, a snow skier and a marathon runner. No, you gotta zero in when you got kids and a family.”
It’s good to hear that Matthew’s got his priorities in check!
