Fashion designer and model Danish Wakeel presented a very sensual and creative fashion show at the swanky members club Runway which, as its name suggests, features a huge catwalk from the entrance to the bar.

Danish’s collection, “Dandy meets the metrosexual” combines the concepts of Dandyism in the 18th century in UK and France and metrosexuality, which was coined by Mark Simpson in 1994 in The Independent newspaper, creating a series of outfits for women and men who want to be at their most glamorous, beautiful and stylish wherever they go.

His collection is an extension of his previous underwear line and focuses on tailoring, extreme detail and cut. The colour palette, of dark blue, red and beige, is inspired by the sea, the sea plants, the sea shells and how the beach changes colour when the sun hits the waves. To create these original effects on his designs, Danish has used fabrics such as jersey, silk chiffon and various embellishments.

Celebrity model and fashion designer Lewis Duncan Weedon opened the catwalk with a striking beige top embellished with jewellery and black skinny fit trousers.

The key pieces of Danish’s collection were embellished light beige and dark blue suits with asymmetrical cuts and underwear adorned with sea-shells.

The make up was also particularly striking as the models had half of their faces painted in white and the other half decorated with a extreme gold, red and blue eye-shadow, adding a touch of mystery and sophistication. Stunning body art design in the form of corset could be seen in the muscular male models’ chests to enhance the “Dandy meets the metrosexual” look.

The show had a sensual and playful tone as the female models used their charms to attract and seduce the male models.

Stuart Phillips, the world’s most expensive hairstylist, closed the catwalk with an asymmetric beige suit that completely dazzled the audience.

The result was a sexually-charged and artistic catwalk show that exuded pure glamour, style and sexiness.
