Yesterday was a seriously exciting day at Paris Fashion Week as some of our favourite red carpet designers took to the catwalk!
Karl Lagerfeld’s ready to wear AW13 collection was full of on trend monochrome pieces as well adding the odd splash of colour throughout. Textures were out in their numbers, from leather to tweed and not to forget some fab metallic pieces we spotted.
Christian Dior’s collection showed something we’ve seen throughout fashion month – wearable feminine ensembles. Dior collaborated with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts for the recurring hand-drawn motifs on light wisps of dresses in white and black, touches which simply made the show.
Roland Mouret showed a unique ladylike collection for AW13, bringing back the shoulder pads. ”I’ve realised how much this city influences me, I’ve become more Parisian. There is something so special here and what fashion is about – it’s not like Milan or New York,” said the designer backstage before the show.
Who was your favourite?!
