Hollywood’s finest stepped out at the Oscars 2013 Academy Awards ceremony, we saw big dresses and column dresses, trains and ruffles in white, red, pink, blue and shimmering black. Its fair to say it was a fashion free for all and we absolutely loved it! Here are the trends we had our eye on at the awards show!
Jennifer Lawrence did not disappoint in this huge Dior Couture gown. We love the soft texture of the dress and that the structured skirt doesn’t take anything away from her gorgeous body.
Amy Adams opted for a soft dove grey Oscar De La Renta frock. You can never have enough froth on an Oscars dress, we adore!
Jennifer Aniston went big in red Valentino, this is simply what we think of when we think Oscars dress.
Fan Bingbing was loud and proud in fuchsia Marchesa for a red carpet look we won’t forget.
Amanda Seyfried looked stunning in this ethereal floral patterned Alexander McQueen gown with a halter neck in a very subtle lilac hue
Anne Hathaway opted for a column satin Prada dress in a soft pink. We love Anne’s unconventional red carpet style, she’s starting to set her own trends.
Charlize Theron rocked her cropped blonde do in elegant Dior Couture in brilliant white. We love the cute peplum to add some shape to the dress.
Kristen Stewart opted for a ladylike gown by Reem Acra Couture, the nude beaded gown featured a ruffled train. The star wore her hair down and tousled as a nod to her usual casual style.
Catherine Zeta Zone’s gold Zuhair Murad gown put the star high in the fashion stakes. We love the intricate detailing and the shape showed of her amazing figure.
Jessica Chastain also went for gold, covered in white sequins and crystals for optimum red carpet glam, the dress was custom designed for the star by Giorgio Armani. Her hair and make-up complement the dazzling creation perfectly.
Halle Berry didn’t shy away from the shimmer either in a black and silver striped Versace gown with structured shoulders, star Quvenzhane Wallis was on-trend in a midnight blue Giorgio Armani frock and her beloved puppy bag for a cuteness overload!
Jennifer Hudson shimmered in a blue dress reminiscent of a mermaid with poker straight super long locks and electric blue accessories.
Zoe Saldana’s dress had a lot of detailing, from the monochrome edge to the bow belt and applique bust, but we love the Alexis Mabille creation.
Helen Hunt’s simple indigo frock was from high street name H&M – yes high street at the Academy Awards! But her jewels were worth around $700,000, and we thought she was being thrifty!
Reese Witherspoon showed off her curves in cobalt blue Louis Vuitton. The dress set off the blonde stars blue eyes and the black bust detailing sported a little bow for a feminine touch.
Olivia Munn went for real red-carpet red-dress glam in this strapless Marchesa gown with gold corset detailing.
Jennifer Garner’s plum Gucci gown had a very unusual back ruffle which started in the middle of her spine and ended in a flowing train.
Kerry Washington looked cute in coral Miu Miu with sparkly bust detailing. The actress kept her hair and make up really natural.
Salma Hayek looked sexy in a black velvet Alexander McQueen column dress with a stunning gold halter neck.
Kelly Osbourne channeled the night sky in a black gown with plenty of silver sparkles and an unusual halter neck design.
Adele opted for her usual black style but as usual she looked amazing in this Jenny Packham design.
Kelly Rowland looked amazing in monochrome Donna Karan Atelier with asymmetric shapes in the bust and body and a sexy thigh high split.
Naomi Watts shimmered from head to toe in a contemporary Giorgio Armani frock. The futuristic style neck line is a winner for us!
Nicole Kidman rocked another modern style L’Wrenn Scott gown. This black dress is so sequinned it looks wet to touch, and the gold swirls add some colour and break up the intense black.
The Oscars dresses were all so different we love it when the stars step out of the box and try something new!
