Ten of Princess Diana of Wales‘ most iconic dress are set to go on auction on the 19th of March.
Originally the dresses were bought at a charity sale held in New York in 1997, which was arranged by the princess herself shortly before her tragic death in August of that year. The upcoming auction will feature gowns by top designers including; Zandra Rhodes, Catherine Walker and Bruce Oldfield.
One of the signature pieces includes the iconic midnight blue velvet Victor Edelstein gown which Diana wore when she danced with John Travolta at a State dinner, held at the White House in November 1985. Many of the other stunning gowns appeared in portraits taken by world renowned photographers such as Lord Snowdon and Mario Testino.
The beautiful gowns are estimated between $20,000 and $200,000
Princess Diana is a true style icon and her legacy will always be remembered.
