Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week began on Thursday and we’ve rounded up all the best shows from the first day for you to feast your eyes on!
BCBG Max Azria kicked off the exciting fashion month with a show full of prints and statement trousers. According to designing husband and wife team Max and Lubov Azria, the collection was based on,”architecture of Istanbul and the eclectic style of the Gypsies of Southern Europe,” We can certainly see the eclectic style running throughout the designs!
Kenneth Cole made his return to fashion week after 7 years away, marking the 58-year-old fashion designer’s 30th anniversary celebration in the fashion world. Leather was dominant throughout, lending and edgy take to staples such as jackets, tulip skirts and simple vests.

Creatures of the Wind‘s Shane Gabier and Chris Peters unleashed their collection to a lot of hype in the industry, entitling it ‘Candy’, a nod to all things fake. The pair made use of synthetic fabrics such as poly-film and vinyl, fused together to create artful incoherence which leaves you wanting more.
