Superstar Magazine was honoured to be invited to the prestigious Limelight Film and Arts Awards at the Troxy Theatre on Thursday evening.
The awards, which celebrate ground breaking short films aimed at young and community based film makers / artists, living, studying or working in London with an opportunity to receive a £10k production award, was hosted by Choice FM and MTV Base presenter KAT.
Munsur Ali, Director of Limelight Film and Arts Awards, told us, ‘Limelight will offer the much needed support and guidance to young film makers, allowing the expression and voices of people from all backgrounds to be seen and heard.’
Superstar Magazine’s Alka Makwana and Adam Danyal, alongside British Actor/Director Asad Shan, presented ‘The Best Experimental Award’ to Paul Hewitt, for his film ‘Trunks‘.
Other highlights of the Awards included performances by X Factor’s Andy Abraham and One Voice girls and The Voice UK‘s Koo Read who did a great cover of ‘Starry Eyed.‘
