London Fashion Week has drawn to a fabulous to a close, with Erdem and Mulberry showing off modern lace to Burberry and Topshop Unique presenting a military influence, there were numerous trends to try out this Autumn/Winter. Superstar Magazine have rounded up the hottest London Fashion Week runway trends.
Lace Appliques
Erdem, Temperley London, Mulberry all went for stunning lace details with their A/W12 collections! Erdem rocked a beautiful black laced dress with hot pink lining, whereas Temperley London presented a longer length gown with a belted waist, and Mulberry opted for a bright orange number with lace detailing at the top.
Millitary Chic
Military influences dominated many catwalks during London Fashion Week. Burberry went for a tailored jackets, whilst McQ by Alexander McQueen and Moschino Cheap & Chic opted for languid dresses.
Pink
Some designers added a splash of colour in their A/W12 collections. Pringle of Scotland showed off a cozy patterned pink sweater, whilst Mulberry opted for a pretty pleated rose pink skirt, and Twenty8Twelve went for a digital printed black and pink bodysuit.
Embellishments
Embellishments were also trend used heavily on the runway. Mark Fast went for a black beaded cut-out design, whilst Roksanda Ilincic went in detail with a black and maroon creation, and McQ by Alexander McQueen showed off an intricate floral number with a ballerina skirt, and mixed it up with leather sleeves.
Digital Prints
Many designers showed off bolder, louder prints within their A/W12 collections. Mulberry went for multi-coloured printed dress and coat, teamed with a black belt, whilst Topshop Unique opted for a black and white dungaree dress, and Erdem showed off a floral printed high waisted skirt and shirt with matching heels. These collections presented a much need pop of colour to the normal darker shades of Autumn/Winter.
Fur
Fur was also a major trend on the runways. Issa rocked a a metallic green structred mini with brown fur sleeves, whilst Roksanda Ilincic teamed a white long sleeved gown with black and white fur shoulders, and Moschino Cheap & Chic opted for cream fur baubles on its nude patterned frock. So come Autumn, you won’t have to worry about getting the cold shoulder, as these London-based designers have the perfect solution for giving you that extra warmth!
