We have to start with the ULTIMATE girl group of the 90′s, the Spice Girls. The Spice phenomenon with Scary (Melanie Brown), Baby (Emma Bunton), Ginger (Geri Halliwell), Sporty (Melanie Chisholm) and Posh (Victoria Beckham) ruled the world for eight years from 1996 to 2008, notching up over 75 million albums sold worldwide!

Next up we have the almighty trio of Destiny’s Child with Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. The Grammy-winning group sold more than 40 million records worldwide, making them the world’s best-selling female pop vocal group of all time, and solo recordings, by all three members, now bring that total to over 50 million!

Billboard ranked TLC as one of the greatest musical trios. Between 1992 and 2003 the band bagged ten top ten singles, four number one singles, four multiplatinum albums, and four Grammy Awards!

En Vogue have won more MTV Video Music Awards than any other female group in MTV history, a total of seven, along with four Soul Train Awards, six American Music Awards, and seven Grammy nominations. What an achievement!

Possible the hottest girlband of all time, the Pussycat Dolls debut single, “Don’t Cha“, reached number one in the UK, Canada, Australia and many more countries. With their sexy style and hot dance moves its no wonder why these ladies have done so well in the industry!

Girls Aloud won a place in the Guinness World Records book after scoring the most consecutive top 10 hits in the UK chart by a female group. Cheryl, Sarah, Kimberley, Nicola and Nadine, have nabbed 5 platinum albums, The Sound of Girls Aloud, and Out of Control both selling over one million copies!

The Saturdays have enjoyed huge chart success. Una, Frankie, Vanessa, Mollie and Rochelle sold over three million records and have achieved a string of 10 top 10 singles – with 5 of the singles achieving Silver. Currently the group are touring the UK, and in 2012 the ladies are set to embark on cracking the States. Good Luck girls!

Hot 90′s British R&B girl group, Mis-Teeq (Su-Elise, Sabrina, Alesha) released three major studio albums and have had seven consecutive UK top ten singles, including international hits such as “All I Want”, “One Night Stand” and “B With Me.”

Atomic Kitten are the he fourth best-selling single by a girl group of all time. Natasha, Jenny and Liz notched up three UK number one singles, including our favourite “Whole Again” and also had two UK number one albums, both going double platinum in the UK. The girls also gained numerous top ten hits across Europe, Asia, Oceania and South Africa.

Although the girl group have gone through countless member changes (currently Amelle, Jade and Heidi) , the Sugababes have achieved great chart success with three multi-platinum albums. In 2006, the British Hit Singles & Albums company named the Sugababes as the most successful female act of the 21st century with six UK number one singles and eighteen UK top ten hits!
