Mobo Awards 2011: Hosts Jason Derulo and Alesha Dixon

The MOBO Awards were held last night at Glasgow’s SECC Arena. The 16th annual event are the biggest night of the year celebrating British urban music talent. It was hosted by US singer Jason Derulo and Strictly Come Dancing judge Alesha Dixon.

Jessie J ended up being the big winner of the night, taking home Best Newcomer, Best UK Act, Best Album for Who You Are and Best Song for Do It Like A Dude. Other winners included Tinie Tempah, Rihanna and Adele.

But true to music awards fashion, there were a few hits but also a whole host major misses

HOT: Dionne Bromfield

Teenage Jazz singer Dionne Bromfield looked stunning in a black draped gown with gold embellishment and matching heels.

HOT: Yasmin

Chart newcomer Yasmin looked stunning in a zebra print Julien McDonald gown with red lips.

HOT: JLS

Boyband JLS rocked up to the event looking very dapper wearing stylish black suits.

HOT: Jason Derulo and Alesha Dixon

Hosts of the night Jason Derulo looked super smart in a chic black suit whilst Alesha Dixon was stunning in a yellow ruffled mini dress.

HOT: Myleene Klass

Myleene Klass looked cute in a structured leopard print dress with nude shoes.

HOT: Tinie Tempah

Tinie Tempah was suave and chic in a plain black suit pairing it with some cool sunglasses.

HOT: Jordan Dunn

Model Jordan Dunn looked statuesque in a nude and gold floor length gown.

NOT: Jessie J

Although big winner of the night Jessie J took home most of the gongs, she missed afar in the fashion stakes in this overly dramatic gothic inspired gown with red lips.

She then changed her outfit backstage into a striking black a gold figure hugging catsuit.

Katy B sported an unflattering navy jumpsuit clinging to all the wrong places and teaming it with some obscure peep toe shoes.

NOT: Ms Dynamite

Ms Dynamite wore a black and white eclectic T-shirt dress which did no favours to emphasizing her small frame and paired it with some usual boots.

NOT: Boys II Men

Boyband Boyz II Men who took home the Outstanding Contribution To Music honour sported miss- matched attire that made them look like they were still living in the 90′s.

Sorry guys, maybe next time hire a stylist..
