Universal Pictures chairman Adam Fogelson has spoken about the studio’s plans for the fifth film in the ‘Bourne’ franchise, hinting that Matt Damon might consider rejoining the cast for the next installment.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter Fogelson said; “I absolutely see us doing more Bourne, 100 per cent yes. Matt has talked about the possibility of coming back, and we totally respect that and are excited if and when he wants to have conversations. But I think the last movie gave us a big bunch of options to pursue a next chapter.”
The franchise’s fourth installment saw Jeremy Renner filling Damon’s shoes, and failed to perform as well as the original trilogy, drawing $276 million worldwide in comparison to the $442 million taken worldwide by ‘The Bourne Ultimatum’.
