Finding Nemo actor Albert Brooks has signed back on for the film’s sequel, following reportedly lengthy contract negotiations.
Brooks voiced the role of Marlin (Nemo’s father) in the original animated film, which saw him searching for his only son after he ventured out into the ocean.
The addition of Brooks is the second confirmed return for the film’s original characters, with American comedienne Ellen DeGeneres also locked in to return to the role of Dory the forgetful Blue Tang fish.
The film isn’t due to debut until 2016, leaving plenty of time for Pixar to ensure that the film creates just as big a splash as it’s predecessor did before it.
