The Victoria & Albert Museum will debut the archive of one of the most iconic actresses, Vivien Leigh this Autumn.
Donated by Leigh’s children the archive has never been available to the public until now. The museum will display intimate diaries, annotated film and theatre scripts, her awards, as well as personal letters to friends and colleagues – such as T S Eliot, Tennesse Williams, Marilyn Monroe ,Winston Churchill and the Queen Mother. Leigh is best know for her role as Scarlett O’ Hara in Gone With The Wind, inspiring us with her exquisite beauty breath-taking talent.
Curator Keith Lodwick told the BBC “It really explores the life of one of Great Britain’s most celebrated performers. We’re discovering nuggets of information about Vivien Leigh that haven’t been documented before and have given a fresh insight to her life.”
We are in love with Viven Leigh! A true screen legend!
