Rihanna donates a generous $1.75 million to a Barbados hospital in order of her late grandmother.
The singers grandmother tragically died back In June of this year and has paid tribute to her memory by making an incredible donation to the hospital in her native Barbados during her visit home for Christmas.
The ‘Diamonds’ singer was accompanied by her grandfather and mother to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday afternoon (22/12/12) yesterday afternoon. Her contribution helped paid for important pieces of equipment in the radiotherapy department.
Rihanna commented on her contribution saying “This was my way of giving back to Barbados, in a form of philanthropy, by assisting the QEH in its continued modernization program…I believe that this will have a huge impact on the people of Barbados. This was all done to save lives or at least extend them.”
