Tyra Banks is launching a television programme which will be based on her own life.
The comedy show will show her experiences from an insecure teenager to becoming an international supermodel.
The programme is set to air on ABC in the US and is cleverly entitled ‘Fivehead’ in reference to her forehead, which the supermodel stated that she was bullied about at school. “In high school, if you have glasses, you’re a ‘four eyes’, if you have braces, you’re a ‘metal mouth’, but if you had my forehead? You’re a ‘fivehead.’”
Tyra has teamed up with a childhood friend who happens to be a television producer. Kanya Barris is in charge of creating the show and will write as well as produce the series.
Barris shares her excitement about the new show “To be able to witness her career was wild, but to be able to watch Tyra grow up was nothing short of nutty. I am blown away by the opportunity to tell not just a great story but a story that I remember so fondly.”
