Two days after the tragic shootings at a screening of The Dark Knight Rises in Aurora, Colorado, Christian Bale has released a statement expressing his sadness towards the horrible occurrence.
While departing from Paris with his co-stars, the 38-year-old Batman actor wrote, “Words cannot express the horror that I feel. I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them.”
Warner Bros cancelled Friday’s premiere in Paris as well as other appearances, as explained in a statement sent to E! News, “Due to the tragic events in Aurora, Colorado, Warner Bros. Pictures has cancelled the previously scheduled personal appearances by the cast and filmmakers in Mexico and Japanon behalf of The Dark Knight Rises.”
